Auction of Promises on 19th March with celebrity auctioneer

Calling all parents, carers, teachers, relatives/friends of Prior Weston!

Here is your big chance to contribute to our major fundraising auction. Any promise BIG or small will add up to make this the most successful auction ever!
Whether you bake a cake or donate a gold tiara worth thousands of pounds (anyone got one?) your generous offering will help to raise this money. We can't all afford to bid for things in the auction (beautiful hand-made cakes sometimes for for £30 when bidders go into competition) but we can all give something to sell. What about offering to seed someone's garden or walk their dog once or twice a week? Or are you lucky enough to have access to a second home that you could offer for a week or a weekend? This helps build community spirit in the school, encourages trust in each other and shows we care.

To submit promises online, please click on the following link, complete the form and press 'submit' at the end:

Here is also a quick link to the MLE if you wish to sign in.

Children's Auction:

Are you a child at school? Would you like to make or offer something to be auctioned? In the past we have had homemade cards, bird houses, walking sticks, playmobile ships with all their pirates: what will YOU give this year?

Business sponsorship:

Do you have a friend, neighbour or relative who runs a successful business? Would they consider donating a promise to the auction: a funky piece of clothing or a free consultation? This year our sponsorship package is going to be developed and all businesses or professionals who donate (even amongst the school community) will have a chance to advertise their products in the catalogue. Depending on the value of the donation, they can have a quarter page or an eighth of a page for artwork of their choice. Of course, hard cash is welcome too for those who can't think what to donate. Print the letter here.

Our official book launch

On 7th December we launched a very special limited edition 'Golden Lane Gets Cooking' cook book bumper filled with fantastic family recipes produced by the PTA and powered by our kids. We were thrilled that Gavin Turk designed this wonderful front cover for us.

All proceeds from the book will go to the school. We hope to help fund projects such as stage lighting for our assembly hall, more books for our library and help in subsidising school trips.

The book is still available to buy at specific events, but ask a member of the PTA if you'd like to buy a copy at any other time.

PTA meetings are held every Friday at 8.30am in the cafe area. All welcome.
